I don't get out to ride much these days, but when I do its usually always by myself and I never take a video camera with me, I just go out to enjoy the ride.

BC? I am gonna be moving there next summer, for the riding of course. Let me know if you are gonna be around Lab though, I can't wait to ride Smokey again.

yeah, definatly all personal preferance. Sometimes its just fun to get caught up in the pinkbike tradition of debating a subject to death though. Wink

Im sure you can, I could do trials on a road bike if I wanted, but its not the best tool for the job.
I use to try to set up my bike to do a little of everything, but it always use to feel like I was sacrificing one thing for another.
I use to ride XC on my single speed trials bike, that was a challenge, but now that I can afford it I have a seperate bike for XC, and one for Street Trials, and there will be more to come Im sure.Smile

I have yet to see a bike set up to do one type of riding as good as the other, there is always some sacrifice to be made. What bike do you have anyway?

I think I'll always lean towards street, but if I ever come up with the extra cash to buy a comp bike I will definatly give it a try.
I may be out around BC within the next year or so, I'll have to head down to the Port Moody trials park for a ride, I always wanted to ride there ever since I seen it in one of Ryans videos and seen pictures of it on the old Trialsin' shop website.

Starting out my riding was heavily influenced by Ryan Leech videos, then after seeing guys like Danny Macaskill ride, I knew that was the kind of riding I wanted to do, but part of me still wants to get into the comp side of trials, just to see if I would like it or not.

Liking your bike too man. I realy need to get myself a comp bike. I have never ridden one, I have always leaned toward the street side of trials, but I know a comp bike would really expand my riding possibilities.

Thanks man, it came with Dobermann stickers on it, but I peeled them off, I think it looks better like that.
There is 0mm BB drop, so thats about a 13in BB height I think, around there anyway.

This one only has enough clearence for 2.35's in the rear with the size of rim I am running, but thats what I planned on running anyway.

Usually its a 2.35-2.5 DH tire in the rear and a slightly smaller tire in the front, but I like running the same tires front and rear.

Nah, street tires wouldn't grip on to things good, you would slip right off.

I always run 2.35's on my trials bikes, most people do.

Thanks. Its a one-off custom, its not their geometry, its based on the geometry of the old Planet X Zebdi frames.

No, you should see some of the pro trials riders...they would hop over me in that picture. But still, I wasn't going for a world record, I was just fooling around in my driveway.

You should put it on a chain and wear it around your neck for the winter, you'll be the coolest guy in school with that kind of bling.

That thing looks more like some kind of alien space ship than a bike frame.Pretty sick. Are you selling it or something, or did you just take it apart for the winter?

Trials parts have always been a bit over-priced, but so is everything bike related. I just paied $400 for a thin pair of pants and jacket for the winter, its nice stuff, but come on...

there is a pic with the geo. Its not a comp frame, its more for street, its modeled after the old Planet X Zebdis.

kids these days have no respect for the trials bike, oh well, Id rather keep it than sell it for below what its worth. Maybe when you grow up you'll learn what quality is Lemieux, until then go make your comments to someone else who gives a damn what you think.

Its got its battle scars, but it is after-all a used trials bike, and it doesn't help the matter that the frame is white, every little blemish shows up.

I've had it for a year or more for sure, can't really remember the exact date.

The fork is good and bad, helps the wrists but takes away a little from the trials moves.

Its a good bike but I just wanna try something a little different. Something custom.
